Dovrefjell-Sunndalsfjella National Park with surrounding conservation areas is one of the largest conservation areas in mainland Norway. In Dovrefjell-Sunndalsfjella you can experience a varied landscape with both geological, botanical, zoological and cultural-historical attractions. There is a close intact ecosystem including wild reindeers (rangifer tarandus), wolverine (gulo), artic fox (vulpes lagopus), northern raven (corvus corax) and golden eagle (aquila chrysaetos). The only Norwegian muskox tribe (ovibos moschatus) is also on Dovrefjell.
